ServerView RAID Manager not showing RAID arrays

at my customer he has TX 150 S5 server with LSI Logic Embedded MegaRAID controller. I remember ServerView RAID Manager was working a year ago, when server was installed (SBS 2003 server 32-bit), but then all of the sudden, RAID Manager shows only:

SERVERNAME
- ServerView RAID Manager
- Scheduler
- File log
- System Log

Nothing else.
There is RAID 1 array configured with 2 SATA 500GB disks, but it is not visible from RAID Manager.

I reinstalled Server View Agents and upgraded to latest Agents,
removed old RAID Manager application and installed latest version,
but still I cannot see RAID array.

A couple of possible causes:
1. If using onboard RAID, it was switched off in BIOS ? This is unlikely to have happened post installation.

2. One of the underlying services that ServerView uses to see the RAID isn't working.
(a) Check the Event View for failure.
(b) Look at the Services console for services that should have been started (automatic), but are not.

Also - if Serverview RAID was installed manually, make sure the correct plug-in was selected. If Serverview RAID was automatically installed, it should have selected the correct plugin correctly - but a manual installation may require the plugins to be selected by the user

I had the same problems on my Econel 100 S2 Server last week.

My server has crashed completly because of a memory leak of the Raid manager (newest version,4 3 6).
And now, it displays only:

SERVERNAME
- ServerView RAID Manager
- Scheduler
- File log
- System Log

Any update on this issue?

Have you tried deinstallating ServerView Raid Manager and then installing the latest version ? 5 posts • Page 1 of 1
